Booking and Payment terms per 01/05/2026:

• Reservation more than 6 months before arrival
  • 10% non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking
  • 40% non-refundable 6 months before arrival
  • Remaining 50% non-refundable 3 months before arrival
• Reservation between 2 and 6 months before arrival date:
  • 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking
  • Remaining 50% non-refundable 3 months before arrival
• Reservation 3 months or less before arrival:
  • Full amount payable at reservation
• No Show / Early Departure – Guests responsible for full Reservation Value

Your reservation is only confirmed after your first payment is received within 5 working days. Reservation will be automatically cancelled when payment is not received, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Only check-in after full payment receipt. We keep the right to ask a credit card deposit for the total amount of your stay, when the payment has not reflected in our bank-account at check-in. This deposit will be returned when the total amount of your stay is received into our bank account.

Late payments may incur a reasonable administration fee of R250 and interest at 1.5% per month, subject to applicable law.

Accepted payment options:

• - Bank transfer into our bank account at:
  • FNB Bank (international and domestic payments)
  • Capitec Bank (only domestic payments)
• Proof of payment by EFT to be send by e-mail to: info@morgenguesthouse.co.za
• Via secured credit card link. We accept: VISA, Mastercard and Diners Club.
• Virtual credit cards only by booking platforms or travel agents on prior agreement.
• No cash payments are accepted
• Subject to re-letting the rooms, any refunds will be determined in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and these booking terms.

Other Terms:

• All rates can be changed without prior announcement. Rates and specials on the Nightsbridge booking portal are leading. You will find these under the "Book Now" button.
• Discounts are only applicable for direct bookings at the Guesthouse and are not applicable on rates on third party websites like for example: Booking.com, Expedia, Lekkeslaap, AirBnB etc.
• Direct bookings at Morgen Guesthouse via:

• No same day bookings, unless guest has booked before with us. Late arrival terms apply. Booking has to be made before 16h00, check-in only after 16h00. Reservations only by phone.
• Minimum stay of 2 nights during high season.
• Minimum stay of 2 nights during low season when check-in on Friday or Saturday. Check-in on Sunday to Thursday we accept 1-night reservations.
• From November 1 until March 31 adults only, no children under 15. During low season minimum age is 5 years.
• Arrival after 7PM will be charged at R 200.- per checked in room, unless:
  • Arrival by car: notification minimum 24 hours upfront, check-in not later than 22h00.
  • Arrival by plane: Late arrivals are free of charge for late flights arriving at Cape Town Airport and when we have received the flight number minimum 24 hours upfront, also applicable for arrivals after 22h00, but not later than 2 hours after arrival of the plane at Cape Town International Airport.
• All rooms are booked room only and breakfast is optional at a fee. Breakfast reservation 48 hours upfront
• Maximum 2 guests per room, unless agreed different. Only low season we might accept an extra person – 5 years or older - only on decision of management.
• Corporate / Business rates are sent on request. Additional terms and conditions apply and are on the rate sheet we will send.
• Silence hours between 22:00 and 7:00. No parties allowed.
• Any matters not expressly addressed in these terms will be handled reasonably and in accordance with applicable South African law.

Force Majeure:

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, fire, flood, extreme weather, pandemic, epidemics, government-mandated travel restrictions or quarantine, war, civil unrest, and major, unexpected failure of essential services (exclusive water use restrictions and loadshedding).

Upon the occurrence of such an event, the affected party will notify the other within 48 hours of occurrence. If the guesthouse cannot provide (alternative) accommodation, or the guest cannot travel due to these reasons, the booking may be cancelled, and a rescheduling, credit or refund option will be offered, less any unrecoverable third-party costs and with due regard to the booking and payment terms.

Force majeure does not include financial inability to pay, or situations where the guest simply chooses not to travel despite travel being legal and possible.

It is guests’ responsibility to take a travel- and cancellation insurance for circumstances guest cannot travel which is under normal circumstances part of this kind of insurances; for example, but not limited to: illness, death of family members, divorce, loss of employment, etc.

Governing Law: 

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Indemnity Notice:

By making a reservation at Morgen Guesthouse you automatically accept that you enter and use the premises of Morgen Boutique Guesthouse at your own risk. You hereby agree to waive all claims of whatsoever cause or nature against the owners, their associated tenants, employees and any other fellow guest, as a result of harm, injury, death or damage suffered whilst on these premises, arising out of an act or omission of the persons herein indemnified. You hereby indemnify the owners, their associated tenants, employees and any other fellow guests, against any claim of whatsoever nature on behalf of your spouse, your children (minor adult), relative or any other person accompanying you on the premises arising out of an act of omission of the persons herein indemnified. Right of admission reserved, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for gross negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
